Product Description:

2 very collectible & colorful, cheerful Damariscotta Pottery Mugs. We collected these when sailing to Maine in the 90's and 2000's. Each is a unique work of art. Each stamped with Damariscotta Pottery on the bottom. Smaller mug holds about 1 cup liquid 3 1/4" tall Larger mug holds about 1 1/2 cup liquid 3 3/4" tall. No Chips, Cracks or damage Dishwasher safe but not microwave or ovenproof Damariscotta Pottery was started in the summer of 1978 by Rhonda Friedman. What began as a one-woman studio has grown into a small business where 4 or more artists individually paint each piece. Rhonda's early work has evolved through these creative people. The pottery is known for its diversity of design thanks to each painter's unique talent. Damariscotta Pottery is crafted with red earthenware clay, and coated with a specifically formulated white glaze. The designs are painted on the surface of the glaze and then fired to about 1940 F. The firing lasts 12 hours and the cooling time is 24hours.
