Standard glaze art pottery with crackle glaze to interior, Cavalier design, shaped rim, pierced and chased asymmetrical silver overlay. Matthew Andrew Daly born Cincinnati, studied McMicken, CAA, Worked at Matt Morgan Art Pottery for short time before joining Rookwood in 1882. One of the top decorators, Left Rookwood in 1903 to head art department at U.S. Playing Card Company. We have just determined that there is an area in the middle of the front on the left side of the silver overlay that is slightly loose and has a small split in the silver. We have added photos to show this area.
